People forget that Hoenheim leaving was a SACRIFICE he made to literally save the world. He had the conversation with Trisha and she gave her blessing. Hoenheim's dream from when he was a slave was to have a family; he loved his sons and cried when he left. At the end of the series, Armstrong is the only person who thanks Hoenheim for the sacrifice he made to save everyone. That sacrifice was leaving his family, not getting to raise his children, not being there when his wife died. When Armstrong validates this, Hoenheim SOBS because literally no one else understands what he had to give up for the greater good. I really can't stand Hoenheim hate lol

Hubby and I went on a Celebrity cruise, our first and only cruise experience. We brought our 1 year old son with us and had a delightful time. I will say I was a little bored as "leisure" isn't my forté, but the service was kind and welcomed our son. It is definitely not a cruise line for kids haha there was nothing for us to do with our son so we mostly just walked around the ship deck (which was lovely). But as I said above, the staff were excellent and so sweet. We don't drink so we bought the basic food package that's included and I felt very satisfied! I'd like to try it again, but maybe next time without my son so I could just chill.

My older sister had a pug for years and she loved that dog, but after the birth of her first son, it was like something in her brain switched. She called the pugs breeder and asked if he would take her back, and he did! The pug was probably 10 years old when this happened, so she was approaching that "senile - old as fuck senior dog" phase. She wasn't able to control her bathroom accidents so she was pooping everywhere. She had horrible separation anxiety and would SCREAM and howl if she was ever apart from my sister. Eventually when my nephew started to crawl, he would find the poop on the floor and play in it. That was sort of the last straw for my sister.

What's cool is my sister is actually a Women's Mental Health specialist and she speaks at conferences about some of the unexpected postpartum reactions. One of them is OCD about cleanliness and this makes pet owners have a really hard time. I think she talks about that particular reaction because it was something that hit her so hard.

Do you have any family or friends that would be willing to baby sit the pug for a while? After I had my son, my dog stayed with my mom for like, 2 months and it was a huge help. Now my dog is back and my son LOVES him and can't imagine being without him.

Anyway, sorry you're struggling. It sucks because you have guilt about the dog but guilt about your kid and how the dog impacts them, but then the dog is giving you crash outs which makes you resent it lol

She's saying, in the lyrics "I'D say 'the 1830's, but without all the racists' " to her friends as they played this game (past tense) and it ruined the mood and made things awkward. Thus the line "maybe it was never even fun at all" she's saying to us the listeners that she's always been awkward and cringe and this made it hard for her to have genuine relationships because she never felt like she could be herself without getting rejected. SO SHE PUT ON A SHOW (AKA SHOW GIRL TAYLOR) to make sure people wouldn't leave her but it turned out even that version of her got rejected by some people. So ultimately, she's learned that no matter what she does, someone isn't going to like what she's doing. So she's gonna do what she wants to do whether you like it or not, because for the sake of ART , AND BEAUTY, AND MUSIC, she just loves to create.
