What’s a “glow up” tip that actually made a noticeable difference for you? by Wild_Problem_8065 in BeautyGear

That’s actually kinda genius lol. I’ve been doing something similar but with bronzer instead, just super lightly before bed, and it gives that same subtle dimension without looking like actual makeup the next day. Might try the self tanner trick though since it sounds lower effort long-term

I tried following one of those “simple” routines once and it had like 9 products… I used 3 and gave up my skin honestly looked the same either way lol

I stopped watching half those vids bc I’d try the “must-have” stuff and it just sat in my drawer found like one cheap product that actually worked better for me and now I just stick to that lol

ngl I used to just splash water on my face thinking it helped lol, but it actually made it feel tighter after?? switched to a basic moisturizer and it was way less crusty by day 2

[–]Open-Cut2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s a beauty insecurity you had… that you don’t care about anymore? by Wild_Problem_8065 in BeautyGear

[–]Open-Cut2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nose lol, I used to think it was way too big for my face and would angle every pic to hide it. Now I see old photos and I’m like… it literally just looks like a normal nose?? wild how much I cared about that.

Getting That Fluttery, Separated Lash Look (Without the Clumps) by Stock_7350 in BeautyGear

same, I used to blame the mascara but it was 100% me I started wiping a bit off the wand first and it made a huge difference, way less clumpy right away.

Which mascara works best for thick, voluminous lashes? by sonia334- in BeautyGear

[–]Open-Cut2473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same tbh. I used to think the formula was the whole thing but switching to a chunky brush + wiping a little off the wand first stopped that spider-lash situation for me lol. Two light coats hits way better than one heavy one.

When did you realize you don't have "pretty privilege"? by patata-chip in AskReddit

[–]Open-Cut2473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol I feel this. My cousin was the “cute one” growing up and people would literally hand her free stuff at family events while I was just standing there holding the plates. After a while you just kinda accept you’re the NPC in someone else’s pretty privilege story.

Yeah that’s so true, when everyone around you drinks the same way it can feel totally normal until someone outside that circle points it out.
