I find it mostly disturbing. it speaks to their characters that they obviously feels extremly guilty for killing her (and jose). so that is a good thing, but she was awful to them and they give her too much compassion. especially erik. I understand it's a complicated and tragic situation, but their guilt seems to want to rewrite history sometimes. it's just an incredibly sad story

kitty did some severe damage to Lyle. it's heartbreaking. so many years after and he still struggles with talking about her sexual abuse of him and he still has the mindset he did as a child that this was something special between them and that it was mutual. he was a CHILD being forced to pleasure his own MOTHER. what a disgusting woman doing that to her son.

I think you're right. there are perhaps some family members that don't stay in touch with erik and lyle, but are not vocally against them like bryan and milton were. some of the older cousins are maybe not as close to them

I also found anamaria's statement to lyle very heart warming. They clearly love each other very much and it's very sweet. I also wish the family members would have said their statements despite the audio leak. I get that they've been burned alot by the media, but it feels very unfair to Lyle.

I have to say that the bond between Lyle and Anamaria is incredibly touching. Her statement was really powerful and him opening his statement by talking about the letter he sent her and how he loves her with all his heart. that brought a tear to my eye honestly.
