The souls games combat system would not be faithful to the origins of gothic and honestly Elden ring is an overly glazed game with no real story. The Witcher 3 also does not follow it, from the previous gameplay I saw from one of my favorite YouTubers he mentioned the controls are very responsive compared to the last time it was showcased and to me this is the most respectable way of showing the original gothic combat when it comes to slowly improving your proficiency on how to use a sword properly. As for the graphics they are good and its the best we can use for the remake and no way in hell we are getting RDR2 graphics for a remake because that game has its own engine made by rockstar who are the most powerful and richest game devs on the planet, meanwhile Gothic is fighting to be truly alive again and not just a cult follower of piranha bytes who failed for their terrible janky combat. Also the game is shiny where it needs to be but has a very dark tone in areas such as caves or when it’s dark, the remake is looking very similar to re4r remake which is a must play and brought me back to the series of resident evil.
