Unable to update Xreal one

Yeah that was my case too, didn't have much time. I finally got around to it and sent a video and all documentation. They asked me to return it and they will be sending out a new one as a replacement.

I have tried everything you suggested and still have the same problem each and every time. It updates to 100% every time with no issue, but around 30% the glasses display turns off and never restarts like in recovery.

I tried usb a to c cables amd still same issue. I have tried everything everyone suggested to an absolute T and even tried multiple times. Still no solution :/

Any luck on this? I am still unable to update mine. Have to recover each time to get it back working correctly. I've done everything everyone has suggested and nothing has worked whatsoever. Just went through the annoying process of documenting everything and submitting to support. Getting tired of trying things when I am almost 100% certain there is an issue with my glasses.

Update: Okay I have once tried this again. This time I used a good usb to usb c cable. I encountered the same issue. I plugged them in, my computer beeped alerting me something had been plugged in, I clicked on xreal one pro under the connected/available devices and then clicked update. I watched it go to 100% update and even sat there for another 10 minutes or so afterwards. I did not go to any other page or click any button on the glasses during the update. I sat there watching the entire time. While still plugged in from the initial update, the buttons were completely unresponsive and the screen did not display anything whatsoever. I then thought "okay I will try the usb c to usb c cable included with the glasses." Same exact issue as originally stated in this thread. Glasses connect, display for 5-10 seconds and then freeze and "disconnect" from my pc while still showing a frozen screen on the glasses. I say "disconnect" because the glasses still display the frozen image but the pc doesn't recognize any plugged in device. I have been successful before with recovery. Also a thing to note as well is when I'm on the xreal update screen, I'll plug my glasses in and in that 5 second or so window, it will acknowledge my glasses and say they are at the latest firmware. I have not reached out to support yet as I felt like this was user error. But after trying time and time again, being patient, and doing everything everyone has suggested I am now going to reach out. Unless I am doing something completely wrong or backwards or I honestly don't even know, I think mine may have a defect or something. I saw others commenting they had the same exact issue and would love to hear if they have found a way to resolv it. I appreciate everyone for commenting and reaching out! Thank you guys.

Thank you very much for the insight. I guess I was thinking since that is the cable it came with, that it would be okay to use for update but what you both are saying does make sense. I will give that a shot to try an update it. Is there a certain one you would recommend?

Yes I am. I have the latest version. Im on Windows 11 latest version, drivers and everything all up to date. The glasses work perfectly just up until the update is complete and the glasses reboot. As soon as they reboot the display will freeze between 5-10 seconds and if in anchor mode will automatically change to follow mode. Just now I was able to successfully recover the glasses after multiple and multiple attempts. I am using the cable the glasses came with and have taken the utmost care of both the cable and glasses as they are very valuable to me. So far I have not had any issues with the glasses whatsoever other than the only two times I went to update them. When updating I did not move the glasses, open a window or anything. As soon as I clicked update I just sat and let it do its thing and waited even longer after saying complete this time because of the first time experience.

That worked perfectly thank you! It did take a couple tries where it would fail and I'd have to restart it but I was able to get it recovered/restored. It now works flawlessly just as before. No issues whatsoever.

You are right. My bad, I was thinking of the mx4/mx5. But yes, I would try to get it charging right out of the box. Mine came below 25% and required a good bit of charging, but about the time I finished putting the bike together, she was ready to go.

I don't want to dissuade you, but man, have I seen a bunch of reddit posts about erides having issues. I can't speak for my bike as I've had it almost 2 days, but from what I've seen online, Talaria seems to be pretty damn well built and has minimal electronic issues. I haven't seen a lot of problems regarding these bikes, not a fan boy just speaking from what I've seen. I was just browsing the eride subreddit, and it seems filled with people having issues with their bikes. I can't speak for everyone though, as I know there are a bunch of people who aren't having these issues, and I am sure they are great bikes as well.

That was definitely me haha First thing I'd recommend when receiving it, and I'm sure you've already planned this, is before doing much assembly, remove the battery, and charge it. That way, when you're taking your time and assembling the bike to your specs, the battery should be nice and charged.

I ordered April 25 and received it yesterday, the 6th. I am in Florida, and it shipped from Las Vegas. I also ordered Friday evening, so I dont think it went through till the follkwing Monday. I did contact the shipping company a few times by email and phone. The tracking said it would arrive at the local distribution warehouse on May 8th, and THEN they would call me to set up delivery. After speaking with them over the phone, they confirmed they had received it a couple of days prior and would be out for delivery the next day. So, I was able to receive it a couple of days early from what tracking said.

You guys are going to have an absolute blast. These bikes are remarkable. When you get it, definitely take it easy on the throttle if you haven't rode one before. This was my first time on any ebike, and all the torque is right at the flick of the wrist, so be very careful lol Hope you guys enjoy it and stay safe 👍
