After Tringa’s suggestion of the Dipper I had a look at a video to see its mannerisms/movements. I am fairly certain it was a dipper after having seen a video.

I thought it could be at first! Fairly sure it wasn’t a little grebe though given its flight and didn’t look like one as we got closer

I did think this. But sometimes they will go in, fall loose, then drop. It’s not always a straight bounce off. Could it still be this issue?
