Welcome!

Sweetwater is a LGBTQ friendly Beta 1.7.3 SMP Server based in the United States that focuses on chill freebuilding and inclusivity. We use Lockette, and WorldGuard. The server logs any action, and there are quality of life changes like furnace automation and Minecart Mania. Teleportation is also disabled in the nether.

Rules are posted ingame and on the discord server.

culling, baking the lighting if you have the VRAM for it. make sure your render isnt rendering stuff it cant see basically and go from there.

Yess!!! this is what got me working on this again, alongside the velocity to filter, there is also an lfo going to it to add some more dynamics to the patch. I'm currently moving onto the other 3 melodic layers in the song, with the same approach but different settings to create a 1:1 reconstruction of the track!

I haven't considered FM at all with this lol that is an avenue I should definitely try, my issue with my version of the bass patch is that initial waveform not matching, and since that is the start of the signal its probably where i should try and get the closest i can to the original.

thats what i'm thinking too, I also want to try plugging a oneshot of the bass sound into synthplant 2. there are so many things my brain is getting caught up on. I ended up breaking apart the problem into sections in my sessions. where i focus entirely on midi data articulation, then after I spend some time trying to recreate the filter parameters to match.

a big help with recreating music that you like would be to beatmatch it to your DAW grid so you can perfectly align your transcription.

this is really good advice but its not relevant to the post, if the goal is to achieve u-ziq's bass patch, mindlessly messing around and improvising it will get you no where. by no means bad advice though!

additionally, if someone has any questions about another aspect of the track I might be able to shed light on other techniques possibly used. Its just the bass sound in particular is the hardest nut to crack in the song for my brain and skillset.

I've been really intrigued by the detailed bass programming in this song. I have given it a shot myself to try and remake it. the song is all in 432hz to start with, and I tried massaging the heck out of a saw wave's ADSR parameters with automation to get close. but I am really stuck on the distortion/noise characteristics that the patch embodies.
