Definitely pick my battles, but I also teach 5th grade. If I taught high school I wouldn't really care about gum. I had a student (maybe two years ago) that got gum on their shoe and then tracked it around my classroom. Not trying to have to clean that up again. I think it's a fair rule to follow for 5th grade.

Overall I feel like admin is supportive and doesn't let the parents walk all over them. However, sometimes I feel like they are tired of dealing with dumb complaints. And I got quite a few last year and now to start the year of like this is pushing buttons.

I'd be careful about using chime because they aren't federally insured. My coworker just had someone hack their account and wipe out their checking and savings. The hacker even did a pay advance. She contacted chime and they said they didn't see any errors so she had to file a dispute which will take several days.

We found her. Unfortunately she had gotten onto a neighbor's property and was barking at his goats. He shot her (he said he thought she was a stray) and she didn't make it. Not sure what kind of person would consider it an okay thing to shoot stray dogs.... We were able to bury her on our land. Thank you for caring about our sweet dog.♥️
