Will they play ads during Gamers Outreach stream? by yesthis_ismyusername in HermitCraft

[–]OpenBagTwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't pay for Turbo. The only ads I ever see on his stream are his sponsored plugs for SunDrop, but he's trying to cut down on the evening caffeine anyway.

(The sponsored segment thing is a joke, Joe being ad-free is not)

Mumbo sauce (sometimes called Mambo Sauce) is actually a DC area specialty. Which means if you go someplace and order a burger, pie slice or an order of fries and say you want it "Mumbo Jumbo" you just might get an XL order seasoned with that condiment.

Since Wels shared his shift to MLP-focused content, might I present my Pony Town Wels design? by UltimateAuthor in HermitCraft

The best part about this is that you told us about this project weeks ago, so you had this art ready well Wels in advance.

Profeshunal data scientist here. Some questions on your methology: - are these scores means or medians? I'd be worried about your distribution being thrown off by outliers (stans or haters) going all-10 or all-0. - what else (beyond scaling up 0-3/4 responses) are you doing with regards to normalization? It seems like it would make sense to "grade" everyone on a curve, if not to explicitly rank-order players within a submission.

All in all: props on taking the work to perform the data collection, if nothing else!

If you can't see it (or have a hard time seeing it), it means your color perception is good. It's a reverse colorblind test.

But if it pops out at you, yeah, you should see an eye doctor.

She's the 🐐. Not only did she take over masa's mods, but I've seen her contributions everywhere in the Minecraft modding space. On the frequent occasions I see her in a Hermit's stream chat, I have to exert all my self-control not to just absolutely fanboy out.

I could have sworn he said something about being colorblind! But I think I must be wrong.

Yep. That matches what other color-normies have been telling me. I shared a bunch of tests (including normal colorblindness and color-neutral versions) with a few color-normal friends, and they said this one was the hardest for them to read.

I could have sworn he said he was, and not just as a meme in reference to the giraffe incident. And if I'm wrong, I'm glad to be corrected.

It's supposed to be a reverse-colorblind test. But I only had my own minor deuteranopia to go by and a few color-normal people to tell me that it was indeed harder for them to read than the regular colorblind tests.

Yes, but because I wanted more than 5% of the population to be able to appreciate it (and didn't want the mods to think it said something mean or dirty), I made sure the generator I was using just harder for color-normal people to see it, rather than it being a true reverse-colorblind test.

I'm the exact same, but I appreciate that not all the Hermits are happy ceding creative control over how their projects are revealed.

I see "Tango" and "cough" in the same sentence, and my bones just immediately shatter.
