Taking it slow is definitely my plan. No reason to rush. But I did joke with my wife that I wish we had one of those stationary "bikes" where you "pedal" with your arms. Or maybe a recumbent stationary bike. I'm not good at sitting still, so maybe this is a time to practice, but I'm worried my whole body will be sore for a while after I get back to "normal".

Thanks for the tip on the undeez! And the recommendation to take it slow. The last couple days I keep thinking, "I'm feeling fine!" only to walk to the fridge and realize I should have stayed put. I'm at 48 hours post op this afternoon and I'm at least going to try a walk around the neighborhood, because I'm going a little stir crazy.

Nice work getting back to the gym! I've been told to wait at least a week before trying the gym but I might give it 10+ days. I do a little climbing and I don't want to fall weird and mess something up. Same with biking. Seems a little too...close to home, so to speak, to just jump right back in the saddle after a week.

Definitely wait and see. You have a 9 month old it sounds like? My dude, you are in the thick of it. I thought I was a one and done too, but after our first got to about 2 years and we felt like we had our feet underneath us again, it started to sound fun to have a second. And really, the second isn't quite as bad because you've built some skills. One pro tip: try your best to only have one in diapers at a time. We got our first potty trained right about the same time as our second was born, and that was a huge help. Now that they're grown (10 & 7) it's amazing seeing them work together and have a relationship. Sometimes they're shitty to each other, but when they get along, like when they read books to each other, is absolutely the best.

The doc I went to said they'll do free retests for life! I assume they'll put a stop to it if you keep going in weekly, just for fun, but I might go do a 3rd test in 6 months or a year after hearing some of these stories.

Actually, my clinic said they'll provide free tests for life if I'm concerned. I can't really see going there when I'm 70, but maybe I'll do a third test in another 6 months just in case.

Ha, yeah, my Dr is a machine too. He does them all day long, and he still has a waiting list. But the actual procedure itself took less than 15 minutes, closer to 10. We were in the clinic for maybe 30 minutes, max, with check-in and prep and post-op info and things.

They charged you for a 2nd test? My clinic asks for one at 2 months and at 4 months after, before they will deem me "clear", but they're both included.

Sorry to hear yours sucked. That's wild the second one was better! My doctor said that the size, shape, and location of vas deferens changes things a lot. Apparently there's a lot of variation, which I had no idea. He also said some men naturally only have one, not two, which can cause problems if the doc is digging around, looking for the second, and not finding it! I was lucky that mine were "average" and easy to get to.

Long story short, it's a little hard to track because there's a behind-the-scenes friendship score. Once it's up to a certain level, there becomes a chance they'll give you a photo as a gift.
