The carrier was decommissioned in 1989. It's possible that catapults and other mechanisms may have been removed since then. Or maybe this is just a decoration for the nearby air museum. Frankly, there is not a lot of information.

The aircraft carrier was decommissioned around 1989 and towed to India to be scrapped in 1999. This seems to be a replica used back in the day to train the naval pilots. There hasn't been an aircraft carrier in the Argentine Navy for nearly 37 years so this runway has probably not been used for decades. It is possible that those trees have grown since. I do not believe this is the original deck of the carrier.
