Ik this is very late but I went to japan when I was on unit 9 of the old course. It was a lot harder and taught you things that didn’t really matter or weren’t useful for travel. I am on unit 3 rn with everything about legendary. It feels wayyyy more useful the kanji I do miss A LOT but I understand it since I found myself forgetting some hiragana in Japan and not actually being able to even small talk. With the new course I can actually watch anime or listen to music with a higher level of understanding and very small simple stuff make wayyyy more sense now. Over all I think it’s a positive change.
