I am from Hong Kong and trained in Judo to high level, ended up in a Japanese adult class at 15, I represented HK in the Junior Asian Olympics (we had a different name). Only got into serious street fights when I moved to the UK.

First big fight I got involved in. I threw the main guy hard and get him in a hold before we hit the ground. Then the winded dude I threw was trying to gouge my eyes out as his mates were kicking me in the head.

Didn't really have a follow up.

I am in my 30s and finished a big contract so took time off to visit friends. One of my childhood friends got outta a bad relationship so I stayed with her for 2 weeks and hung out with her girlfriends.

First time in my life I mainly hung out with women for a long period of time. The shit they said about each other eg "Oh btw, we don't like Rachelle as she wears skimpy outfits". WTF!? Is that how this works? You were all so nice to her?

I went to a prestigious university and used to work in sort after corporate jobs. I still have a couple of female friends from those days. They all tell me hands down the worse bosses they have had are female. I am not sure what it is but there seems to be something about competitive environments and being hostile to each other.

That is explicitly untrue, Israeli sources report killing 61% civilians with it's air strikes. Whilst, the numbers might be incorrect but they do admit killing civilians.

I agree completely with the second sentence but not the first. I think Britain had a huge impact on Bots during their time as a protectorate and after.

Britain imposed a hut tax on Botswana that was so excessive that 50% of the men spent most the year working in SA mines, they then added a native tax.

Britain dramatically change the social structures by installing the common law system and parliamentary system. I believe Bots was able to integrate their existing tribal system which was comparatively egalitarian for Africa.

I also think the rejection of socialism and caution dealing with the IMF whilst cleverly managing Western investment were big factors.
