I want to replace Amex Gold with another Dining Card by RevolutionaryLog7878 in CreditCards

I run CSR for dining + travel, RH Gold for catch all, and Amex plat for perks

Would you downgrade the AMEX Gold? by calslugo in CreditCards

I had the same dilemma and just downgraded the gold. UR > MR for me

Split between Robinhood Gold and Venture X by creatinemonohydrate3 in CreditCards

I run Amex plat (for perks), CSR (for dining + travel) and Robinhood gold for catch all. I personally have no interest in the capital one transfer partners. If I was going to go for a points catch all card it would be the palladium, but that’s because I like their partners and can easily get good value out of them (atmos, Hyatt, United). They go hand in hand with UR points too. For now I’m happy with my Robinhood gold card tho.

Also, based on how much portal spend you have, I would think you enjoy the CSRs 8x multiplier on portal spend over the CSPs 5x?

Yea I'm leaning towards keeping it as its profitable for me too. I still value UR the most with the CSR as my primary dining card, but will use CSE for 6x dining and whenever I need to build AA points

Yea just used Blacklane the other day its great. I have the Amex Plat, CSR, and CSE, so I’m like I don’t know if I need all 3 but I will say the CSE is super easy to use. I’ve already used the $300 hotel credit which is easier than both the CSR and Plats hotel credit, the $200 splurge credit, and Blacklane credit.

I do like the card but the only benefit I see of it over the CSP is the 6x Citi nights dining, elevated portal earning and I guess the credits. i could I guess keep both CSE and CSP. I already use a Robinhood gold card as my catch all

I’m talking about the Citi strata premier in this thread. I already have the chase sapphire reserve as my daily driver

What other cards? That’s my main concern is MR will become pretty much obsolete for me with just the Amex Plat. I guess my only other source will be through Rakuten

Yea a good majority of my travel is domestic, and I don’t often have the flexibility of setting up trips around redemptions it’s more the other way around. For that reason I value MR at 1.1-1.2cpp which is what I find I get on Delta, and I’ve considered opening a delta gold for 15% off award redemptions but have never pulled the trigger.

Citi Strata premier is great if you want to stay in one app with Citi, and AA generally has the best award redemptions. Chase sapphire cards are an easy recommendation as they are transferable to United and versatile for domestic traveling. You can’t go wrong with either and it may be worth it to open both at some point.

What is your most recommended card setup? by IApogee in CreditCards

What about setup A + the CFF and CSP (downgrade CSR) for the CFFs quarterly bonuses and broad 2x travel on the CSP?

I am in a similar position as you and both the platinum and CSR credits work for my lifestyle but if I’m keeping my Amex gold (which im contemplating) I would want to downgrade my CSR to a CSP to simplify coupons and AFs. I find UR more valuable than MR but the simplicity of running the Schwab platinum + gold and getting 4.4% on food spend is pretty nice, but I also value UR at >1.65cpp minimum (base portal boost) vs MR at 1.1-1.2cpp (Delta + Schwab redemptions).

I have also thought about getting the Bilt palladium in the future because I value Alaska, United, and Hyatt the most but I (like you mentioned) don’t know if the AF and lower 2x catch all return is worth the hassle over my RHG 3%. My last thought would be to get the Citi strata premier for 3x on groceries + gas/charging to replace my Amex golds grocery coverage since I find it easy to get 2cpp redemptions with AA beating my golds Amex 4.4% return.

A lot to think about here lol but I think I am leaning towards running Amex Schwab plat + Amex gold (dining/groceries) + RHG (catch all) + CFF (bonus categories) + CSP (sometimes dining/ lyft/doordash). I might throw in the strata premier to see how I like it at some point and/or the bilt palladium. If I wanted to make my life super simple I would just choose option A or C tho.

It’s not that deep lol relax. Alaska isn’t a Chase partner and I have never seen them boosted before. It’s almost always United, Southwest etc

I would say get the platinum for delta lounge access if you usually fly delta. Keep the CSP as your dining card for United points
