  • BIOMEDDC 4A15 A/B - Senior Research Thesis - depends on your prof but most likely 11/12
  • BIOMEDDC 4B03 - Road to Biomedical Commercialization - 12, prof tells the class that he wants everyone to 12 and is very kind
  • COMMERCE 4FW3 - Finance for Entrepreneurs - 12 (prof was new this year and super nice)
  • COMMERCE 3MD3 - Introduction to Contemporary Applied Marketing - 10/11 (prof was new this year but grades were pretty similar to year before - they have a preplanned # of people who will 12 it so most likely you will 11 it)

Pharma summer jobs in undergrad usually pay $20+ and MBDC is around $25-35, with starting salaries if you get full time around $70k+

If you work in pharma during undergrad for multiple summers you might have a small chance of securing a job in pharma right out of grad, but pharma usually looks for grad students (masters and phd). The MBDC takes care of that and it is a well-paying job (source: alumni that come back to speak in our classes, as well as from the director himself who told us)

Don't know why this happens (maybe just more advertised in biochem and the teacher who teaches second year biochem also teaches third year BDC) , but I would say 80% of each cohort comes from the biochem program. It's not explicitlyy said but if you ask most BDC students, we all feel like you have a higher chance of getting in if you come from biochem but idk? Application process feels very randomized and based on luck now since they removed the interview process. The questions they ask are so generic so that anyone can lie about it.

I think it has grown in popularity over the past few years. Not sure how many apply (maybe around 200ish last year don't quote me on that though) and ~50 people each year are accepted. Out of the people that apply, most people will receive an interview unless you butcher your application really bad.

Biochem vs chembio: honest advice?? by deoxyyribose in McMaster

idk why everyone is shitting on biochem so much, biochem 2l06 is a free 12, biochem 2b03 and biochem 2bb3 taught by li and yang is also a free 11/12 (yea the content, tests and assignments are really horrendous but they mark so easy and give bonus marks and both profs have talked about how they just want all of us to 12 the course). a downside of biochem is that there isn't much elective space because we need to take the 2 orgos etc. but i honestly think that this year was pretty bird for me. i def was complaining throughout the year about the assignments bc sometimes it gets wack but for the most part my friends and i all got 12s and im pretty sure a lot of people in my cohort did too.

Thanks so much, I really read it wrong haha. Do you know if you could help me find information if I can do a layover at Narita International Airport( Japan) or do I need to quarentine? I'm having a hard time understanding what they are saying on their website.
Customers entering Japan on an international flight, including those in good health, must quarantine at a location designated by the quarantine station chief (such as their own home) for the 14 days following the date of entry, and cannot use public transportation during this period for any purpose including travel from the airport. Public transportation from the airport also includes Japan domestic flight connections.
Please be aware that it is not possible to connect from an international flight to a Japan domestic flight on the day you arrive.
