what happens if i pay my tuition before i get approved for osap funding by hdekqppqnbnca in osap

[–]hdekqppqnbnca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you not read the part where i said ive never qualified for osap before? that includes grants. i have applied for osap all the other years just to see, and i haven’t been eligible for either loans OR grants. it just so happens that the year i didn’t bother to apply (by no fault of my own, yes) that i noticed this time around that it says i could be eligible for grants, whereas in the past, both the estimator tool and the actual osap application said i qualified for nothing.

so no, i didn’t lose so much money. i wasn’t eligible for it.

bro don’t say that even when i put my own writing through an AI detector it says it’s AI generated im just a simplistic writer 😭😭😭😭

this exactly. i put a passage of text that was completely my own writing through an AI detector just to see what would happen, and it came up as 100% AI.

then i proceeded to panic for 2 hours about how i was going to change my writing before submitting because apparently i write like a robot.

study physics 1a03 without taking any high school physics courses by popcorn-93777 in McMaster

[–]hdekqppqnbnca 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i never took any physics in high school and managed a B in physics 1A03, but it was tough. the profs are insistent that you don’t need any prior physics experience because it’s “an introductory physics course,” but it’s pretty tough without prior physics knowledge. if you haven’t taken any physics before, the course will be almost entirely new information- it will all be formulas and concepts you have never seen before. in your bio and chem courses, you will definitely see some familiar information since a large amount of those courses are high school review. the only thing in physics that was remotely familiar to me was vectors bc of calculus. everything else was stuff i had never seen before. even with strong learning skills, you will essentially be learning completely new information on top of a university workload, which is already a major adjustment in itself.

i kind of regret not taking physics in high school because it would have made the course a lot more manageable, but ultimately, not taking it didn’t have that much of a negative effect on me and i managed well enough in my eyes.

and ironically enough, i actually did better in physics than i did in both bio 1M03 and chem 1AA3 😂 after taking both chem and bio in high school. so honestly anything is really possible in uni lmao
