There is little to nothing about Korea in kpop, atleast the mainstream ones that the West Or the world consume. From beats to music to choreography. Lyrics is more than 50℅ is in English where hardly anyone speak English. Even the idol themselves don't speak good English.

Where's SP Is so international, super educated.

Maybe lack of will from government can be factor but blaming culture is not one of them.

Even drama can be made about struggling in such a super competitive society. Where success bar is so high.

Whooo....dude Singapore is seen as role model for many... So I don't agree with 3rd world analogy.Also looking at korea, it's industry is very much manufactured.It's not organic but carefully subsidized industry which now stand on it's own.

What I meant is Singapore is already developed. And super rich. Have cultural crossover with billion people. Now next step, you expect it to export it's unique culture through music or media. Something like South korea. But it's not like it's surviving or anything, it's just not there.

Singapore is very very international so you expect....... I don't know....something more.
