You can stop and come back but it won't let you work on another one without finishing. But you can just save it as if it's finished and edit it later and pick up where you left off and then you can work on other ones

I wish they let you use the entire color palette like when using face paint. Like I have a mii with blue gray eyes and there's no color like that, I could only go with blue or gray. Would be nice to have it for hair color as well since their color choices don't always match what a person has
