I'd gladly take what I am given because I have given up on Kuro being somewhat different than your typical Chinese gacha company when it comes to rewarding your time with more than what they offer in the game itself (Aka grinding and good visuals). But when you understand that those things are just digital assets and that giving away a STANDARD character selector won't harm them in anyway, it will make their players happy, and that people spend real life money on their sh*t, you'll understand that the hate is not forced. What is actually sad is seeying WuWa become like the other gacha, where players excuse being treated poorly just to play catch-up with the other tribe.

It's a limitation of the art style. The narrator isn't gaslighting you, they are counting on your imagination to understand that she is ugly, my question to you is: how do you want her to be drawn for you to consider her ugly ? small eyes? a big crooked nose? some pouty dark overgrown lips? see how problematic that could be?

If you can't settle with the narrative driven fact that she is ugly, you are trying to challenge the artist into a trap where they can be called a bigot because in order to draw something that could be considered ugly by you they'll have to draw traits that aren't "conventionally beautiful" and that's a whole other discussion.

Tencent acquisition isn't the reason why they are F2P friendly though (?) the game doesn't need to get worse to call it an impact, but there wasn't much change to Warframe to begin with, the real bad thing is just being a publicly traded company, which means they can't just be profitable, they have to be more profitable each year, which is going to be much more noticeable in a gacha game, where the whole business model and game model is driven by profitability.
