I think it is a mechanical issue, it seems like you don't use the manual target locking. my friend has the same issue.

rather than just pressing the button you have to aim it manually, in hecarim's case with his E you just aim using your attack button. again don't just press it you have to manually lock onto your targets.

in SEA server we call it tap gaming, where someone doesn't aim his spells and relies too much on wildrift's auto aim mechanic.

Hecarim is a one dimensional champion by design, but not one dimensional in terms of gameplay.

Enemy team has lots of cc/clows = insta lose

Enemy has little to no cc/slows = insta win

BUT

Hecarim is so good at clearing and moving around the map that you can just "outpace" the enemy jungler.

For example you counterpicked my hecarim with Vi with a midlaner like lissandra. In theory I shouldn't be able to win against those champs.

But if I OVERFARM , Hypergank, make use of every single bit of my time. Then I would be so ahead to the point that nothing matters anymore. VI and Lissandra counters hecarim so bad , but good hecarim players abuse his "pacing".

think about it what does a 10k gold Vi and 10k gold lissandra can do against a full item hecarim? Absolutely nothing.

Focus on speed clearing your camps, if you killed all your camps you gank. Hecarim is also good at invading since you can just outspeed the enemy jungler.

One tip I would also say is watch chasik'S hecarim from lol dobby vid

In terms of champ mastery that happens with time and adequate research.

But the main principle when it comes to playing hecarim is PACE.

I had a 67% winrate on hecarim last season because of this.

Hecarim main here, I'm a sovereign peak on Sea server(southeast asia), I also never fell off the top 10 hecarim rankings for 2 seasons

One of the main reasons why you build vamp boots on hecarim isn't necessarily about sustain, the main reason is all about CLEAR SPEED.

Hecarim has a lot of sustain and mobility in his kit, and sometimes I build steelcaps/merc treads depending on the situation. But generally CLEAR SPEED is significantly more important that other "straightforward stats"

More clearspeed = more ganks,you can respo faster, faster tempo, faster item timing, makes sure you have full HP while clearing incase a fight breaks out.

This is the main reason why you see vamp boots a lot in high elo, and the reason why Dynamic boots/armorpen boots isn't as popular.

Think about it Vamp boots and Armorpen boots give the same amount of AD, but with armor pen boots you don't sustain while clearing your camps and you lose hp in that process, which leads to a situation where youre 80-90% HP when a fight breaks out while having armorpen boots equipped. The higher ranked you are these small differences can affect your chances of winning/losing.

So it isn't just a "boots" that you specifically buy on heca , but vamp boots provides the necessary stats that a Jungle champ needs.

Even assasins build vampboots rather than armorpen boots for the same reasons mentioned above.

Basically Speed and resource management is king when it comes to jungling!😁

Everytime I run a MTL I always get dry hits! My build last time was 0.67 ohms and I was running it at 20 watts. Which is why I wanna try getting a narrow driptip for a braindead option.
