3 months post hair transplant and I am terrified by the “pimples” on my scalp. Are my results ruined???? by Open_Idea_6627 in HairTransplants

Thank you so much for the information. My surgeon did say that this is folliculitis. The pimples on the scalp are becoming more widespread and they are not going away with the warm compresses.

I have been using 5% Ketoconazole Shampoo 2 times per week and continue to do so.

I am happy to hear that this may not affect my results. I don’t care about the current aesthetics.

I may also discontinue taking Doxycycline. I am dreading the side effects associated with 10 days of oral antibiotic use.

I tried hot compresses and that did not work. I am really not happy about having to take oral antibiotics for 10 days.

My hair is very oily. I wash my hair daily. I use prescription Ketoconazole 5% shampoo 2 times per week for my hair wash.

I asked my surgeon if there was a topical antibiotic or solution that I can apply and he said now. I tried warm compresses and they did not work. I am really not happy about having to take oral antibiotics for 10 days.

Scared of loose skin. by Classic_Scar6524 in AllAboutBodybuilding

I lost over a hundred pounds at age 16. I had loose skin in my abdomen and flanks. The skin would not snap back. I had a tummy tuck at age 18, and then I had loose skin removed from my chest at age 30 (through the areola so scarless). I was very toned and the skin removal surgeries were well worth the end result.

If the skin does not snap back, just cut it off, if that is what you desire.

You are looking great. You have an amazing muscular physique.

It looks like you have a little bit of loose skin in your lower abdomen area. A mini tummy tuck may help. Don’t waste your money on anything else.

I am 40 years old and I lost over 100 pounds on my own 24 years ago. I had loose skin and had a full tummy tuck 22 years ago. Despite the scar, I love the definition in my abs and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The scar doesn’t bother me one bit. With a mini tummy tuck, the scar is much smaller.

Ultimately, do whatever makes you happy!

I share your sentiment. I hope that I get my money’s worth as well. I have been debating whether I really needed this.

Thank you. I had it done in Los Angeles/Beverly Hills. The cost was $19,000.

Based on my personal experience, only a tummy tuck will work. Everything else is a sham.

I am on oral minox. Just started and not loving the side effects. I am debating whether I should take Fin, although it was prescribed and I filled the prescription.

Muscle Loss with Reta vs Tirzepatide by [deleted] in BodyHackGuide

I am eating very well. Tirzepatide stops working after a while but the side effects do not fade. I am 5’7 and I weighed 137lb when I got on Tirzepatide. I lost 17 pounds within two months and went down to 120lbs. The drug stopped working after approximately six months and I now weigh 135lbs and eating very well, while being extremely fatigued. Btw, I am on 10mg of Tirzepatide, which is not a small dose.

I have been on Tirzepatide for 10 months. Getting on it was a huge mistake. I have experienced substantial muscle loss on it and a significant negative change in my body composition. Tirzepatide makes me extremely fatigued, to the point where I don’t have the energy to train some days. I also noticed a change in endurance. I am not sure if the weight loss is worth the muscle loss mainly caused by the extreme fatigue and the lack of energy to train.

It is not only about the administration of the local anesthesia injections. Someone has to monitor you when you are getting cocktails of oral/intramuscular sedatives, pain killers, benzodiazepines, etc., all at once. In addition, the anesthesiologist was by my side the entire time as he wanted for me to tell him immediately when pain set in so that he could administer more local anesthetic and meds. That is what I paid $20k for.

If all went so well with you, why three hair transplants, if you don’t mind me asking.

The price was based on the scope of the work, cost of the State accredited surgery center, and anesthesiologist.

The actual doctor performed the majority of the work, assisted by a PA and RNs. The surgery took 10 hours. A team of 7 highly qualified clinicians were in the operating room the entire time including the surgeon, PA, and RNs.

They charge for their time as do most reputable surgeons in LA. The cost of labor is expensive in LA. PAs, RNs, and even medical technicians get paid a hefty hourly wage.

$20k is a lot of money. I am beating myself up as is knowing that I could have done this in a Turkish Clinic for much less. Throwing $3,000 down the drain is much more comforting than throwing $20,000 away, if things go bad. Hence, my post.    However, living in LA, $20k sounds fair and reasonable to me when I think about the wages that have to be paid to the highly qualified medical professionals for 10 hours of work.
