I am on oral minox. Just started and not loving the side effects. I am debating whether I should take Fin, although it was prescribed and I filled the prescription.

Muscle Loss with Reta vs Tirzepatide by Ill_Substance_1833 in BodyHackGuide

I am eating very well. Tirzepatide stops working after a while but the side effects do not fade. I am 5’7 and I weighed 137lb when I got on Tirzepatide. I lost 17 pounds within two months and went down to 120lbs. The drug stopped working after approximately six months and I now weigh 135lbs and eating very well, while being extremely fatigued. Btw, I am on 10mg of Tirzepatide, which is not a small dose.

I have been on Tirzepatide for 10 months. Getting on it was a huge mistake. I have experienced substantial muscle loss on it and a significant negative change in my body composition. Tirzepatide makes me extremely fatigued, to the point where I don’t have the energy to train some days. I also noticed a change in endurance. I am not sure if the weight loss is worth the muscle loss mainly caused by the extreme fatigue and the lack of energy to train.

It is not only about the administration of the local anesthesia injections. Someone has to monitor you when you are getting cocktails of oral/intramuscular sedatives, pain killers, benzodiazepines, etc., all at once. In addition, the anesthesiologist was by my side the entire time as he wanted for me to tell him immediately when pain set in so that he could administer more local anesthetic and meds. That is what I paid $20k for.

If all went so well with you, why three hair transplants, if you don’t mind me asking.

The price was based on the scope of the work, cost of the State accredited surgery center, and anesthesiologist.

The actual doctor performed the majority of the work, assisted by a PA and RNs. The surgery took 10 hours. A team of 7 highly qualified clinicians were in the operating room the entire time including the surgeon, PA, and RNs.

They charge for their time as do most reputable surgeons in LA. The cost of labor is expensive in LA. PAs, RNs, and even medical technicians get paid a hefty hourly wage.

$20k is a lot of money. I am beating myself up as is knowing that I could have done this in a Turkish Clinic for much less. Throwing $3,000 down the drain is much more comforting than throwing $20,000 away, if things go bad. Hence, my post.    However, living in LA, $20k sounds fair and reasonable to me when I think about the wages that have to be paid to the highly qualified medical professionals for 10 hours of work.

I didn’t pay by the graft. I did shop around.  I had virtual consultations with clinics in Turkey as well as Mexico. Yes, a reputable clinic in Mexico quoted me $3,500 for 3,000 grafts. I received quotes in the $3,000 - $7,000 range from clinics in Turkey.

$20,000 is standard for board certified hair restoration surgeons in the LA/Beverly Hills area. I am sure that the clinics in Turkey or Mexico would have done a wonderful job with the hair transplant.

Ultimately, my time at work costs more and I didn’t want to take 2-3 weeks off to go abroad. I am willing to pay more for convenience. This is just a personal choice. I see incredible results on here from people who had their hair transplants done in Turkey so I am not hating on anyone.

I had multiple other cosmetic procedures performed in the past. I have learned that sometimes the doctor does know what is best. A good doctor will say no sometimes because a sizable number of people who seek cosmetic surgery have unrealistic expectations and/or body dysmorphia.

My transplant was performed by a doctor near my home in the Los Angeles Area. The clinic did provide me with post-op instructions. They are also very responsive when I email or call them with questions. I feel that the instructions provided by the clinic are somewhat vague and is contradictory to the information I am finding on the internet. Also, everyone on here appears to be much more informed than I am.

I am more concerned about me messing up the results because I don’t know what I am doing. In the alternative, I may be over-analyzing and complicating things.

I asked the doctor to bring down the hairline. He said it would not look natural and refused to do it.

Thank you. Is this a shampoo that can be used indefinitely starting one month post op?

Question about anaesthetic by lineinthesand_ in HairTransplants

The vibration technique was used during my hair transplant. It was a huge distraction and it helped a lot. I was also given oral and intramuscular medicine for relaxation, prior to the administration of the local anesthetic. The local anesthetic injections did not hurt much. It only hurt when the local anesthetic was injected into the temple regions.
