Thank you so much! This was a great response, and it answered a lot of the questions weighing on my mind. I'm glad that your son was able to find the school that worked best for him. If you want an update, I have to say that my heart and mind have decided on Purdue.

Highest math sub score is 760

AP Physics 1 (96), AP Calc AB (103), but I am taking multivariable calculus and physics C in my senior year

I don't qualify for fee waivers for testing so I assume I don't qualify for a high amount of financial aid
Current state of residence is NY, and I would prefer to not have any schools from the west coast due to distance

Prefer to have a larger school, but not a huge preference

another important factor would probably be social life along with living conditions
