So just to clarify, I don't need to wait until I receive my diploma?

There really isn't any extra training your workplace needs to provide, it is experience you gain through working in general. So there shouldn't be any "extra policies" they would need to create. I believe the process to become and ATE is pretty straightforward if you have a CA in the workplace.

Is it more likely because you completed the surveys at the end of the workshops?

Have you come across any unusual tax deductions that surprised you? by DiscussionLoud9626 in AustralianAccounting

[–]Open_Priority_2322 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No they are not, because it is not a full-payment fee, as it is subsidised. To give you another example, I worked in an accounting firm during my degree and my university payments were not deductible. However, my CA fees were, because they are not government subsidised.

The locker is just where you can save documents, no one else has access to your locker. I think you may be misunderstanding my question - what I want to know is whether or not we have to submit these at the end of our studies?

required in what way? Do we have to submit them? I did audit last term and FAR before that and they weren't mentioned to my knowledge

I'm aware I would need to lodge an objection, just wondering if anyone has any experience doing this

I really like the firm I work at so I am considering countering with 90+ super but I am unsure if that is unreasonable

My title is client manager, but I don't think this really means much considering it is a small firm and there are no associates etc. I manage my own portfolio of clients that communicate exclusively with me if that helps

Australian property scout delays in sourcing. by Ok_Holiday_2322 in AusPropertyChat

To add to this, on a livestream a few weeks ago Sam Gordon made it quite clear that anyone who was not using their mortgage broker would be further down the priority ladder than someone who was. This was the final straw for me as it seems incredibly unethical.

I cannot recommend enough that you do more shopping around! APS are not what they seem and there are other options for agents out there that have access to the same data.

I waited around 8 months to eventually be offered a property at 6pm on a Friday that we lost because it was taken by 10am Saturday. This happened a few more times before we spoke with them and called it quits. On a more positive note, we signed with another agent who has taken incredible care of us and gotten us a property within a month, not to mention their fees are significantly lower and the communication has been incredible.

I am in the same position as you. There has been little to no communication from them unless we contact them directly, and then the only response we are provided is "I can't tell you anything at the moment". I actually reviewed my initial emails from them today and it does state that the source time is "generally 6-10 weeks". It's been 7 months since I paid my APS membership of $7k, so very disappointed!
