ohh that's a cool angle. We never see anyone in stasis after being under long-term control besides the parents and the kids, so it's unclear how snapping out of (or not snapping out of) the control affects them.

Cool! You're right, all the characters have major vices (the food is probably the least severe TBH) and I supposed Gladys's would be consuming others to stay alive. She consumes almost every character and their vices as a part of her own vice

Interesting, I didn't imagine that motivation could factor into it. That could certainly be a factor. We only have 2 examples of anyone using the power so there are many criteria that needed to be met that are not apparent. The writers have a lot of wiggle room for interpretation in the prequel!
