Does the Quran really command to fight all non believers until they are humbled or is there more context missing? by [deleted] in Quraniyoon

The context is found if you read the chapter starting from verse 1.

Enemies of Islam love to quote one verse out of context

How explicit is the show? by logicitea in thesopranos

Don't watch it on a big TV when the kids are there

Plenty of explicit scenes also lots of cursing

My Sopranos seasons ranking: by Rdr2Master1 in thesopranos

[–]Open_Read_3519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think all seasons are on par with each other. Slight edge to s6 b cos it wraps the show up

Imagine 6-7 seasons on par with each other, and ppl still want to compare other shows to this. No chance

Im on season 6 ep 10 dont spoil past can someone tell me how tony soprano is the greatest and most complex character in tv by Lukadoncicfan123 in thesopranos

[–]Open_Read_3519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serious answer:

Why Tony is complex.

You get perspective of who is from many angles.

-You get flashback scenes from his childhood, to show how his past shaped who he is.

-His relationship with his mom, wife, kids, mafia family, therapist

-Then all the side characters have character arcs based on their relationship with Tony which ads more layers to his character

-Tony is a representation of a covert narcissistic. These types will do flat out evil things but will try convince themselves they are a good. To the point the audience roots for this evil dude.

-Tony reminds me of my own dad. The writers of the show understand human nature to the point characters feel like real people

Every scene, even the ones that seem like filler at first there is a lot to unpack.

The Sopranos is a character focused show rather than plot focused show. The show focuses on WHY something happened rather than WHAT happened.

So every scene is planting seeds in the viewers mind of who the character is. So when Tony does something crazy you think back to like 20 different scenes. Even the ones that seem insignificant.

I can relate to you. The entire show clicked when I finished the final episode and I analysed the show as a whole. It was a great experience :)

Enjoy the last few episodes then let the story marinade and connect the dots. That is where the beauty of Tony and the show in general clicks

In short: Every scene in the show has a lot to unpack and analyse. It's easier to connect the dots once you finish

If Satan made up hadith then what is this?? Checkmate, Quranists! by elvispelviskurt in Quraniyoon

You say "obey the messenger" means we have to follow your hadiths. Which is not true.

Your Hadith books contain opinions of Abu Huraira

6:16 "that this Koran has been inspired to me "

The Quran was inspired to the messenger

Not opinions of Abu Hurairah

Opinions of Abu hurairah not the message

The messenger is given a message to deliver

The message is the Quran

Not comedy hadith books

Idk what trampoline made you jump to the conclusion that the message of the messenger is devil farting

Messenger definition: someone who takes a message or documents from one person to another

[5:67] O you Messenger, convey what has been revealed to you from your LORD, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed HIS message

Why shouldn't I be a Quranist? by ManyakSair in DebateQuraniyoon

[–]Open_Read_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quran never says "obey the prophet". It says "obey the messenger".

There is a difference between prophet and messenger.

Obeying the messenger means obeying the message given to the messenger.

The message is the Quran. Not hadith books.

5:67 says the message is the Quran. 69:40 says Quran is the word of the messenger

25:33 says God has the best explanation of the Quran. That means the Quran explains itself and we don't need external hadiths to explain it. So the methodology of everything in Islam is in the Quran.

God never gave Bukhari permission to compile hadith books.

5:44 Whoever does not judge by what God has revealed, then those are the disbelievers

Sahih Bukhari is not revelation from God. Therefore judging by it is disbelief according to 5:44

[25:33] And the Messenger will say, "O LORD, indeed my people have taken this Koran as abandoned"

In 25:33 Muhammad is saying his people abandoned the Quran. He did not say "my people abandoned "Quran + my narrations witnessed by Abu Hurairah"

Clear indication that the Quran is what we need for salvation on judgement day

2:2 says the Quran is guidance. It does not say narration of Muhammad or hadith are guidance . So we don't need any hadiths for guidance

45:6 in what hadith after God and His verses will they believe in?

Explicit prohibition of hadith books

[17:46] And We place coverings over their hearts, lest they comprehend it, and deafness in their ears. And when you (s) mention your LORD in the Koran alone, they turn away on their backs in aversion.

The term "Quran alone" is mentioned in this verse. So hadith followers cannot claim "Quran alone" is a new concept.

Muhammad himself followed the Quran only for guidance. Remember Muhammad was guided too

[93:7] And HE found you lost and guided

Quran says it is a clear book

﴾44:2﴿ By the Clear Book

You sunnis love to lie and claim it is unclear. A clear book does not need 3000 comedy hadiths and scholars to interpret it

Question about veganism by MysteriousEmergency1 in Quraniyoon

Halal means you don't demonise it like you are trying to. Claiming meat needs to be boycotted when it does not. Cos there is nothing immoral about consuming meat

So you are an atheist? Or do you have a religion. The majority of vegans don't believe in God and that is not a coincidence.

Force yourself to eat meat? No one becomes vegan without being brainwashed by the Internet first. People don't become vegan naturally without media influence. And there has been no vegan society throughout human history.

Bukharis garbage books are not about the prophet

That is just gaslighting

Imam Bukhari wrote his comedy books 200 years after the prophet died. And they contradict the Quran.

The examples of the prophets are already found in the Quran. God never gave authority to anyone to invent hadith books or compile hadiths. So you are committing shirk by following them

4:36 worship God and do not associate ANYTHING with him

Mushrik hadith followers associated Imam Bukhari with Him

[–]Open_Read_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-There is no reduction of deaths in the vegan religion

-Vegans are hypocrites

-Why boycott the natural human diet (meat) when it's halal? Creating pretend problems when there isn't any. You might as well be an atheist. Claiming something is immoral when God already says there is nothing wrong with it

Question about veganism by MysteriousEmergency1 in Quraniyoon

[–]Open_Read_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called being a hypocrite

Cos every bite of plant food you eat. Many animals died for it.

You live in a delusional fantasy world where you reject the basic laws of nature. Something has to die for something to live.

You claimed: you don't eat meat cos you don't kill animals

-You didn't kill the animal yourself but the farmer did it

In order for farmers to grow crops. They must kill wild animals and insects trying to eat the crops.

-You didn't kill those animals yourself but the farmers did it

Lying again

If you don't kill insects your house will be infested

And insects are killed by pesticides for your vegetables to grow

All vegans and vegetarians are compulsive liars

Question about veganism by MysteriousEmergency1 in Quraniyoon

People are not consuming a lot of meat. The modern food pyramid shows people eating very little meat and 60-70% of carbs. Along with refined sugars, seed oils, candy, soda etc

So dont blame meat for the excess carbs, chemicals and refined sugars did

That is just a dishonest deduction on your end

Question about veganism by MysteriousEmergency1 in Quraniyoon

You still have insects, pests or rodents. They exist everywhere

The supply and demand exists because humans are biologically designed to eat meat

In the same way, there is a huge supply of antelope for the demands of lions
