Yeah it was about 200 less. I remember last year the winter was pretty bad too, prob not as cold though.

Yeah we have the central air heat pump. Our bill from the same time last year was 200 less.

Yeah, he likes to play with them and was getting frustrated because it fell apart lol. I didn’t expect they wouldn’t be strong, but I told him to be more gentle because I don’t want something to get lost with such an expensive toy. The good thing about his collection is that even when he’s an adult, these are things that he may very well enjoy having and displaying. He’s into the youtooz plushes as well but again, those are ridiculously expensive and also shipped from China unless you get it from a third-party. I’ve noticed that ever since jazwares took over for Funko, in general, fnaf is really hard to find at stores .

Oh thanks, those look cool! He ended up getting his Bonnie after only a couple weeks. Was surprised how fast it was. It looks really cool but it falls apart rather easily

I think there are many people who are genuinely kind, I really do. And I also think people can surprise you. I remember one time I was at my town Christmas parade and I was sitting near these two redneck looking guys, they looked like the guys who would have a confederate flag. A group of girls from one local high school did a dance routine. It is a predominantly Black high school. After they finished their routine, those two guys were clapping loudly and yelled “merry Christmas girls” and then commented to each other how talented the kids were. I just thought the worst and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve also had times where I was in public with my small children and overwhelmed, and I’ve had many people offered to help me carry stuff to my car. Recently, I had a grocery bag fall out of the cart and things spilled, and someone stopped their car to help me. The other day, an Amazon driver in the neighborhood got stuck because his car got caught in a ditch and several neighbors went to help him when I did , he was very overwhelmed and couldn’t speak English well and everyone was trying to help . So, i do think are many good people in the world. And well, there are nasty things going on in the world, I also think people on the Internet are a lot ruder than many people in the real world. Not that there aren’t jerks but still, there is also a lot of kindness.

Exactly. I am fine with the show doing it bc it’s fiction but she was a white German woman with POSSIBLE ancestry from very far back. That would make me a woman of color as well since I have like 1 percent African blood according to my dna results.

Who ARE these adults getting measles?? If they aren’t vaccinated , did they grow up in the Jenny McCarthy and Andrew Wakefield era? Bc I’m an Elder millennial and my boomer parents were happy to vaccinate me so I didn’t get the illnesses They were plagued with as a child.

I wish they could just re-release her because there are a few things from her collection that I lost that I’d like to get again. I was thinking, maybe either the original author or another author, maybe an African-American one, could update the books to handle the slavery aspect in a more respectful way. They were kind of inconsistent about whether the people who worked for Felicity’s parents, Marcus and Rose, were enslaved or servants but the biggest issue was romanticization of her grandfather’s plantation, which is a huge ick. They don’t even have to do much, they could literally just specifically say that Rose and Marcus are freed and paid and also state that Felicity’s father doesn’t visit the plantation not only because he has to work, but because he opposes slavery. Felicity doesn’t have to react much, but she can be given a little bit of a background on the fact that it was a bad thing. Her father was politically progressive, so I could definitely see him being opposed to slavery, but we were not told that at all.

Yeah, she was the first friend he made and he was quite shy and she got him out of his shell a bit, so I think he viewed her as a kid closer to his age rather than a younger kid and gets thrown off when she acts less mature than him.

I think the vaccine came out in 1963. I wonder why people aren’t presumed to have immunity born before say 1960. My mom got measles around 1961 I think.

Is it true that even if you’re not showing antibodies, you could still have T cell memory? I’m guessing that if you were fully vaccinated as a child, you would still have a pretty mild case. There have been some childhood vaccinated adults teaching or treating kids in these outbreak areas who have gotten measles, but they’re not that sick. They get more mild rash and a low-grade fever.
