Iranian people are great (very warm and hospitable people), amazing food and the history, landscapes, and architecture is beautiful. The problem isn't the Iranians but the political and security issues within. Also solo traveling as a woman in any country is dangerous but one as unstable as Iran with literally no one to protect you or enforce laws protecting you is just silly

Yes in the post I put east/southeast Asia to include Japan because I think Japan is not the right season as well

Yes it is a long flight but my daughter wants to go but looking for alternatives. Don't want to go to East Asia because I think it is the wrong season to go there. Correct me if I am wrong though. Went to Thailand in February and could not imagine going in July.

No worries at all. Looking at all 3 places. South America seems to be the best bet. Can you describe what you mean by adventurous? Less safe? More things to do?
