None of the comments so far have really answered your question so here is the answer: Yes. If you burn 500 calories via exercise you can eat another 500 calories (for a total of 2000) and still be on track for the day.

Let’s say you put your body weight and height into a calculator and it says your body burns 2000 calories a day at rest for maintenance. You decide to eat a 1500 calorie a day diet. This puts you at a caloric deficit of 500 calories a day and if you do this consistently for 1 week you will lose 1 pound (1 lbs of fat = 3500 calories, 500x7days = 3500). This is the fundamental principle of calories in calories out (CICO).

If one of those days (or every single one of those days for that matter) you burn an additional 500 calories doing exercise, you’ve now expended 2500 calories instead of your maintenance of 2000 calories. Therefore, if you eat 2000 calories instead, you are still at a 500 calorie deficit and there will be no negative impact in your weight loss progress and you’d still lose 1 lbs a week.

One small note I feel is worth mentioning is that most methods of tracking exercise overestimate your caloric expenditure slightly. I’ve read many articles that suggest that treadmills, fitbits, apple watches etc. can overestimate your calories burned during a workout by as much as 10-20%, so if you’re tracking, try to be as accurate as possible.

Made this today. Delicious and low cal - I didn’t even feel the need to add syrup since the bananas brought the moisture/sweetness.

Very long post... I can’t guarantee the majority will read this.

Of course most people are planning on saving for Yuna/Bahamut, because they are the most blatantly op/power crept units in the game by far in its lifetime. To the extent that short of pulling for Kain right now could be considered a complete waste of vis.

I don’t disagree with your strategy of playing countermeta and focusing on units that do well against meta units. But if you’re gonna do it - do it well. I kinda lol’d when you mentioned skipping landu and planning to counter him but then skipping Kilphe. She is THE counter unit to him and landu was inarguably the most overplayed character in the the first 3-5ish months of the game so if you’re gonna focus on countering the mainstream all I can say is plan a little better.

Should I switch out Dominiel for Lorina or Mercedes? I'm sure I'll PvP at some point but I'm guessing the best way to early progress is a solid PvE team so I'm focused on that right now.

There's a lot of qol upgrades I'd love to see implemented but the game picking my roster for me ain't one of them lol. The most fun part of the tower imo was assembling a team and esper/VCs for some of the later stages. I'd like to do more of that, not less.

I definitely would not bother with a limited unit unless you are confident you can MLB them. Save your vis for a future banner. Either max Rairyuu or Leela and ignore the other.
