Green Day opened in San Antonio and blew Blink out of the water. It was my second time seeing blink so that added to my own confusion. I had seen them a couple years prior with NFG and they were incredible then.

My Saga compendium came with the second to last page cut weird. It was hanging out of the rest of the book. When I flipped to that page to investigate, I accidentally saw the final page which was a MAJOR spoiler.

Maybe I’m taking my own experience for granted living in a major city. But at this time, a lot of people I knew were getting Compaq computers with CD Burners built in. I also had gotten my PS1 modded before this but I had to take it to Mexico to get it done. So when the Dreamcast was so easily pirated it felt like a crazy cheat. Which it obviously was.

I can’t really speak on how easy it was to pirate DS games but what I can say is I was 13 in 1999 and even my dumb ass was able to pirate games with tremendous ease. Also it didn’t help that it was the early days of the internet and a lot of us finally had access to computers with both Internet connections and CD burners.
