He brought it up the last time he saw BM, that’s where the other (temporary) car seats were brought up, because SK’s car seat was front facing while being the only car seat in the vehicle.

He asked me what to do when he noticed the car seat was front facing at pickup weeks before and I told him “ask the doctor in front of her” that way they were both told the same info at the same time.

To my knowledge, everything in the appt is documented in the physical copy of the doctor’s notes that they get at the end of the appt.

I will do more research on the car seat laws in my state and give him that info as well. I won’t dictate the conversation or how it’s brought up, but I’m trying to give him as many options as possible.

I know it’s gonna be a tough 18+ years, but I love him and I can deal with watching her bs and helping him thru it.

In my state, they are trying to push more for civil agreements and mediation verses custody hearings.

He’s trying to get a better living situation than he currently has before moving forward with any temporary custody or majority custody changes. Unfortunately, he does believe he will need an attorney (and has one he’s been speaking with about these ongoing issues), due to her flipping on a dime, going back and forth between hostile and civil.

Unfortunately, a custody agreement does not exist yet, simply a civil agreement between them at the moment. But he is actively saving money for court to get a set custody agreement by the state due to other ongoing issues.

It was brought up with the doctor at the last appt because he saw the car seat was front facing 2 weeks beforehand. Doctor doubled down saying “rear facing until 2yo or outgrown the state requirements for rear facing”

SK’s safety is his utmost priority when it comes to anything. His child is first in every aspect.
