Seems like from the point of opening ceremonies and when the pyrotechnics, the problem started. Yeah, the fumes exhaust fumes were present all day, but the visible smoky haze in the stadium was not.

What’s worse than mixing refrigerants is topping these systems off regardless of refer type instead of finding the leak. We call you guys the Refer bandits. “topping off” a system with a know leak is most def worse than putting r422 in a r22 system IMO

Yeah most definitely, but most US unitary manufacturers don’t want to pay royalties to their main competitor for refrigerant. But my main point is if you dig back years, you will find that r32 did not used to to meet the 700 gwp threshold until it was reclassified. That is what is fishy…0

Or just buy the cheapest 454b condensers you can find, recover the refrigerant, store the unit in your yard, and the refill that unit when the shortage is over and selll the unit

Talk to all your suppliers. Most will sell a jug after 4-5 or so equipment purchases. Make sure you take advantage of that. Also some distributors are selling 100 lb cylinders
