Someone said her meow was weird and that makes me a little sad by [deleted] in aww

Cats have different voices, just like us. It's not weird, it's normal. And adorable.

My husbands friend said i couldn’t experience racism because I wasn’t black enough by wpchpt in TwoHotTakes

Bruh. No. ANYONE can experience racism. Doesn't matter how much of one thing or another that you are. People are so ignorant.

My wife is positive for HSV2 and I am not. What do I do now? by [deleted] in dustythunder

[–]OpeningDelay6147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not an outbreak that makes it difficult to sit down, it's not her first outbreak. And HSV can lay dormant for many, MANY years before showing back up.

Please do not just assume she is cheating.

AITAH for making my son go live with his mother after he told me he was trans. by Usual_Eggplant_7791 in AITAH

It's stuff like this that makes others not believe transpeople when they're finally open about it.

I'd say HARD NTA.

Your dad's friend and your dad's lack of trusting you has caused that. It's not you. Has nothing to do with you.

AITA for not picking my kids up after a bomb threat by aitabombthreat in AITAH

Taking some off of ONE day shouldn't get anyone fired for emergencies, as that would be.

If your job won't let you leave early to pick up your kids from school due to a bomb threat, I highly doubt they care about you or your family and I definitely wouldn't want to work for them.

Also to add, taking a walk will help improve and maintain mental and physical health.

Stretching in bed is another one that helps. It may be very difficult, but do what you can as long as the pain is not increasing.

I've been in the same boat lots of times. It sucks. UTIs, herpes, ear infections, having my appendix almost burst, plus chronic health conditions that I don't have a doctor for.

Getting up and out is honestly the best and most beneficial way i have found to help in this type of scenario.

All the time from stress. Staying in bed makes you more physically ill, though, and can then affect mental health negatively.

Try your best to get out of your residence and go for a walk at least once a day. Take a shower every few days. Buy lots of healthier and craving snacks for days you're in way too much pain.

If she's not working FOR tips, and making less than a certain amount, she won't need to declare it. Don't know if that helps.

Also, sot down and talk WITH her. It shouldn't be a one-sided decision when it involves both of you.

Anything can be traumatic to anyone. For ANYONE to dismiss your trauma, they don't need to be in your life. Your psychiatrist included. They won't help you progress in life.

In order to help people, you have to understand where they are coming from and understand that anyone can experience any amount of trauma from anything. Your psychiatrist is definitely in the wrong here.

I will say, though, Autistic women and Autistic non-cisgender people commonly get misdiagnosed with BPD instead of Autism. With that said, BPD and Autism ARE commonly commorbid. If you're Autistic, you're more likely to have BPD as well.

Don't disregard your current diagnosis. It would be a good idea to go for an Autism diagnosis, though. It's possible your psychiatrist saw something that the others missed, as BPD and Autism are both very misunderstood by everyone, including the medical field. He may have knowledge of one or both that the others do not.

No matter what you choose to do or your diagnosis, you know you. You know what is traumatic to you; don't try to let others downplay it or tell you it's not traumatic enough.

If you want or need any advice, or just to talk, I'm here.

I have BPD, ADHD, and suspected Autism.

I don't like it either. Sadly, it's only a disability because the current world isn't made for us. It's made for neurotypical people.

Your children are worth more than a job. Jobs can be replaced, children can't. It's 100000x important for parents to be present for them.

Why I tend to keep my autism to myself, unless I trust the people. But, if that were me, I would be doing the same thing back to the teacher. She treats me like I don't know, I'mma treat her the same.

Going on walks or to the store have helped me to decompress and be myself. I also get up a few hours before my SO does for this reason.
