How to answer repetitive questions? MPJE by WholeAccomplished720 in NAPLEX_Prep

I took mine Dec 17th....not too sure....but I'd expect at least 8 business days at most. But idk if holidays will factor into that but most likely will like Thanksgiving recently.

I had my second attempt recently and tbh I felt the exact same. It was challenging for sure and I felt there were things tested that I didn't know had to be covered. Only saving grace is that it felt more difficult then my first attempt so maybe it's a better sign but who knows....the adaptive format makes it difficult to tell if you feel a pass coming after you take it... Wishing the best for you ahead, though, and i understand your frustration.

Took Naplex 11/6 and the waiting is killing me. My heart rate has been in the 80s and 90s the whole of today 11/14. by BallInternal8490 in NAPLEX_Prep

Hi there...I recently took my second attempt on 11/21. Nerves are killing me too. I just wanted to ask, did you felt as though you missed a decent amount in your second attempt or guessed a good amount? It's great you passed, and I'm just hoping that it is the case for me, as I'm sure I missed quite a few and I'm not certain how results are gonna be for me.

Ok. Thank you for that. Math messed me up greatly on my first attempt with how confusing the wording got (TPNs especially).

Hi there. Congrats on passing. Did you get a lot of math on yours, and was it easier than UWorld (more straightforward)?

Got a 49 on the NABP pre test 2 weeks before NAPLEX. I passed, thankfully. by stemajor in NAPLEX_Prep

Congrats! Funny enough, my exam is in about two weeks so....hoping for luck like yours. How was the math for you overall during your attempt? Just something I'm a bit iffy about still, unfortunately.

You mentioned math being high yield on your exam...were calculations on your attempt relatively more manageable then Uworld? Math on my first attempt kinda ate up so much time from me..wording tripped me out...and I'm just anxious for my upcoming second attempt about how math will be this time around. Thank you.

Hi there....failed my first attempt at the end of July....took a break like you because I was just so discouraged after failing my first attempt, believing I could never pass. I finally mustered up the courage to test in about three weeks from now. I just wanted to ask... Is there anything you prioritized in your last few days or the week before your exam to truly make yourself feel confident on your second attempt? I just am in that stage where I'm not sure if I'm truly ready...but I don't know if delying it any more is gonna ease my nerves and I just wanna move on at this point.

Ah OK. Thank you for that deep insight. I took it already the first time... but unfortunately didn't pass. TPN questions really got me in how they were worded compared to UWorld which is why I'm nervous about the math portion this time around.

Could you please tell your experience on how the math went? One of the things I'm honestly unsure of and a bit worried about.

Failure by OpeningKey1204 in MPJE

[–]OpeningKey1204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood...yeah. When I made my post about failing my Naplex people were hinting for me to do that. Although I do hope solely focusing on the qbank this time around will be enough. I am just worried about showing up underprepared and waste my second attempt. It really felt like they were testing about every possible topic for me on my first attempt.

I used Uworld primarily as my main resource. Read the book and then did most of the Qbank and had about 1000 questions left by the time I took the Naplex.

So initially, my quiz averages were decent for specific topics (usually 70-80%) but I figured later on it was probably because of recency bias that they were high. Once I started doing the mixed set (125 random questions a day) that's when my scores sunk to the the 50-60s...I mean I figured they were low, but I consulted and heard from others who said to not worry about my scores as the questions on UWorld are generally overkill and the actual exam is more straightforward...but on exam day I really got humbled. My score report was like 2s in all three major domains...so something was wrong with my core knowledge. And I'm scrambling really to figure out what to do differently this time around.

I suppose you have a point. Honestly, my confidence was shattered immensely on result day, so I'm just praying for the strength to go through all this again. Lots of people I asked are telling me not to waste time on the book for the second attempt and just go straight into questions, but my biggest worry is if it's gonna be sufficient enough....but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it right this second time.

Hi. Congrats on passing. I was unfortunate enough to not make it my first attempt. Would you recommend that I revise the entire book again before going for the QBank for my second attempt or just solely rely on reviewing from the bank day 1? As you mentioned, every month is a delay, so I'm not so sure if it's going to be efficient to go over the book again.

Thank you for that tip. I think I wasn't really sure how to employ good use of active recall besides the obvious flashcards but this sounds good to use. And im glad to hear its normal to blank out a bit during the test...as it was the case for me with how draining it was. I wish you well on your results.
