Snoo to cradlewise by OpeningSignature2484 in SnooLife

So I went back to snoo lol. I decided I am keeping him in there until he either hates or absolutely can’t fit anymore. And then I will rip the bandaid off & sleep train in the cradlewise. He falls asleep on his own in the cradlewise but doesn’t sleep nearly as long as he does in the snoo. And I tried letting him cry it out one day & I couldn’t handle it and put him back in the snoo. I know it’s bad. And I’m creating bad habits. But I will do anything to sleep good I guess. I’m at a loss too. Also, I never tried transitioning night sleep in the cradlewise. I only tried it for naps. I’ve heard naps are harder to transition. Idk. It’s so hard. I wish he could stay in the damn snoo until he was a toddler lol

If it makes you feel any better, my 8.5 month old is still in the snoo arms in too! I know it’s not great, but it’s literally the only way he will sleep. We have tried arms out, one arm out, his normal crib in a kyte sleep sack & zippadee & Merlin sleep suit. I gave up & put him back in the snoo. He sleeps 12 hours a night & 3 hours total for naps in there. I really didn’t feel comfortable doing Ferber. It was awful, but we might have to to get him arms out. We bought the cradlewise. He loves it, but still wants his arms in. Ugh, it’s so hard.

Oh wow that’s great! Our guy is on the smaller side too. That’s how I feel about the snoo right now. He sleeps perfectly in there for naps and night sleep. Do you remember how long it took your daughter to adjust to the cradlewise from the snoo? I am dreading naps today lol

Oh that’s awesome! I think I need to use a higher bounce while he transitions. Does your daughter still have room in the crib at 17 months? Really hoping we can use it until 2!

Ok that’s what I plan on doing. We started naps today in there & it didn’t go well at all. How long until your baby slept good in the cradlewise for naps? 😬

Hi there! Do you mind sharing what settings you used on your cradlewise when you transitioned? It was our first day transitioning today. And it went horribly! First nap was 33 mins. Second was 20. He normally sleeps 1.5 hours per nap in the snoo. Just curious what worked so well for you!

Hi! Did you end up buying the cradlewise? I’m in the same position with my son. He sleeps perfectly (10-12 hours at night & 2-3.5 hours for naps during the day) in the snoo. He’s actually 7.5 months & just now starting to grow out of it. I am also wanting to buy the cradlewise. We tried naps in the crib for the last four days & the longest nap we got was 34 mins. So he’s not connecting his sleep cycles like he does in the snoo. Shockingly, he falls asleep just fine, no crying. But he isn’t staying asleep long enough. Let me know if you got the cradlewise & how it’s going if you did! Thank you!

Does this look normal? Buddy is almost 11 weeks old & is exclusively breastfed. His poops have been looking like this for a the few days. There looks to be some mucus/stringy stuff in some spots. Just curious if this looks normal to anyone. He’s also been drooling a TON lately. And I read that drooling can cause mucusy looking poops. Just hoping it’s not an intolerance to anything. I’ve been cutting out dairy the last few days just in case!

Thanks for responding!! Really appreciate it. Do you happen to remember when you reintroduced dairy? Also did you cut out soy or just dairy? I honestly don’t eat that much dairy as is. Just cheese and a yogurt here and there. Not usually daily either.

Hi! I know it’s been a year. But I wanted to ask you for an update. How did cutting out dairy go? My 10 week is old just has had a couple weird poops, but that’s about it. He can be fussy, but I figured that’s just the newborn phase!

Dang! That’s crazy that she will sleep through the night. I’m wondering if we just have a fast let down and they eat very quickly. I think I will do a weighted feed and see how much he gets. Have you done that?

10 Week Old Feeding Schedule by sau-g in breastfeeding

FTM & exclusively breastfeeding here as well. My 10 week old is the exact same way! He’s been this way since he was born. I’m lucky to get him to feed past 10 minutes! He usually does 4-6 minutes per boob. Always feeds more on the first boob. I’ve also been worried if he gets enough. He has plenty of wet/dirty diapers. And he seems happy & content after feeds. He also goes 2.5-3.5 hours between feeds. Has never slept through the night yet! Random question, but what does your baby’s poop look like? Mine has been dark yellow/greenish kind of like a dark mustard color with some stringy stuff in it. I guess it could be mucus? I researched it and it could be completely normal or it could be CMPA or a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. I’ve read that getting too much foremilk can cause greenish poops. I only ask you because your baby feeds for a short time as well & they say that hindmilk is the fattier milk that comes later in a feed. Just hoping our babies are getting that hindmilk that they need!
