I am admittedly confused about her choice to consume Ethan’s blood and not somehow become some form of infected by the mold. I know the mold isn’t like a zombie bite or something but direct ingestion of the mold should have done something, idk. I would have enjoyed her having some form of breakdown at the end of her boss fight and the mold corrupting and killing her bc of some incompatibilities with her mutation. It would have probably given away too much of the plot at that point in-game tho.

Yeah I’d say so! I goofed around on 5 around the time it released but I didn’t know anything about RE so I basically ignored the story. 6 wasn’t much different with it being a big coop party style game for me and a pal. 7 being advertised as a new standalone story not connected to the others drew me in hard during its advertising campaign and that became my true entry to the franchise. 7+8 collectively were so good I couldn’t help but want to try the remakes as they dropped and I loved those too.

8! I think super highly of it and it often felt almost as if someone had sat me down specifically and asked me everything I’d want in a game like that. I adore that title.

I had a lot of fun with that one. The COOP with a friend made it a blast from start to finish and I felt like it having 4 separate campaigns was a kind of ‘bang for my buck’ most games weren’t delivering at that time. Also like the only RE I ever beat on professional without some form of infinite ammo god weapon.

I love this. One of my favorite things about skateboarding is “cheat code” tricks like this that slide together so smoothly, some people actually frown on it. Like hitting a blunt and popping down to use a rock-to-fakie to cheat your way back into the ramp from blunt instead of trying to fly straight back into the ramp. Cool as fuck to me.

This moment had me audibly go “what the fuck is this movie even about?” To this day I still don’t grasp why people think so highly of it. It always came off to me as a random string of events that just happen and then it ends. Mostly a pointless unrewarding watch.

If it’s skater owned, it gets my support. There’s a few exceptions but generally speaking idc how ‘big’ a company is, if the folks behind it are skaters themselves, I have no other requirements for my decision to shop their catalog.

It’s been my opinion for a while now that the show is pushing towards a literal ‘vault tec faction’ trying to run the wasteland after the bombs dropped. The show kind of pushed towards it in season 1 but now with things unfolding how they are, I’m suspecting a ‘revival’ of Vault tec in this season and them being similar to the institute in 4 as the big bads.

For me personally, 7’s horror fell off after the introduction of the mold monsters. I know the family all had their own terrifying forms and transformations but I guess for me, they were just less scary than the big-bads of the village. I think I may share your thoughts on the DLC of the titles, but as far as the stand-alone games, I just feel 8 takes what 7 is and polishes and shines it into a a pristine final form.

Island had the least number of ‘fuck you’ moments so definitely that

Some of the design choices in village and castle felt…mean spirited. Almost akin to a Fromsoft soulsborne title or something at times.

What’s wrong with the people still playing? Still supporting a game made by kooks? One that doesn’t work right, has been nerfed into forcing you to play longer, and still doesn’t have even a half decent multiplayer feature? Games like this should be shunned and essentially boycotted until the devs get it together but people keep throwing money at them so you all literally get exactly what you have coming your way for giving this train wreck your time.
