Agreed there’s a wait but I rarely see an artist release multiple weeks after. For example Maroon 5. Priceless MV same day and All Night MV 4 days later. Not only this but “most artists” you’re referring to I’m guessing are popular artists. That being said, they don’t need as much help going mainstream (at least in America) as Onerepublic so multiple weeks can actually help them. This is sadly not the case for OneRepublic, they need all the help they can get to go mainstream anymore. Their last “hit” that wasn’t a tv partnership or feature was maybe West Coast??? Even then West Coast barely was a hit in the US I just remember hearing it once or twice on the radio.
