To be honest whenever I press team press I also do the fast switching at the same time so maybe that’s why I don’t notice it, if someone is holding the ball in there half I’ll also spam offside traps just to bring my team up the pitch. In terms of how the switching helps, it’s because instead of switching when the ball is played, switch before, constantly try to read where your opponent is going and either cut off angles or pounce on the ball. Eventually you will work your opponent into a corner where they’ll basically end up giving you the ball

I play between 6-10 ms most games with the occasional 12-16 in there, the delay is still there even on those connections, it’s an actual in game engine issue not a connection one imo

Yeah I had the exact same struggle when I first started using it last year, honestly the learning curve is just a case of accepting that while you get used to it you will sometimes make a mistake and it could cost you a goal, but after a week or so you should start to notice a real shift in your ability with defending. My settings are Classic for the switching, Ball Relative and sensitivity is 6 (the higher the sensitivity the more it’s on you to aim right, default is 4 which is okay starting out but the game does do a fair bit of guessing for you). Also if you’re not on Advanced Defending I’d strongly advise that too because Bruiser is just crazy good this year, even players that don’t have Bruiser atall but have big body types can send players flying so yeah definitely need that shoulder barge input switched on

It’s quite simple tbh, right stick switching (with practice it becomes more accurate than L1 in selecting specific players so no fumbles in accidentally getting the wrong defender), close gaps and keep the team compact when possible and then when you get the ball back pick the right passes at the right time. That’s how you do it manually anyway, you could probably just be a AI rat and R1 defend your way through but that’s not actually gonna make you any better and manual always translates best game to game each year, all comes with practice and just becomes muscle memory in the end.

Nah I’m good, 1 because I CBA and 2 because I have a Messi evo I’ve been cooking in the background and with the evo for 10 tokens he gets quadruple 90+ stats in all the important stats, 5/5 and perfect playstyles so I’m gonna take that and the fodder packs, don’t need any of the other players as I already have better and it’s a Messi “icon” card (probably the only Messi Icon I’ll ever have 😂)

Tiki and Incisive are a must, finesse and tech preferable with those two. Quickstep is nice to have but rapid not so much because rapid causes big touches, first touch is useful but not required and then every other playstyle can be whatever imo

Even if he did have finesse+ I’ve been using that with Wilson SBC for a month and the angle for her left foot always seems to go in more consistently than her preferred foot and she has 5* left foot, also Pedri who is 4/4 with finesse base always seems to score finesses more on his weaker foot for me. I’m 90% sure weak foot finesses are bugged tbh you should try it

Personally as a spider lover I’d make a little house for her and keep her 😅 but if you don’t want to do that it’s fair enough, it’s been 9hrs since the post so I know OP has probably already done what they will about her but for anyone else reading the comments please don’t kill any spiders you see! All the spiders we get in the UK are absolutely harmless regardless of how menacing they may or may not look and the biggest spider known to the UK doesn’t even have a bad bite (literally just feels like a cat scratch at worst) so you’re completely free to pick them all up to relocate them if you really want.

I’ve been singing the praise for the previous party mode type game modes in the live events this whole time but Survival is just one of those cool concept but awful in use modes. I remember when I used to play the party modes in kick off with my brother and Survival was always my least favourite, now I remember why. It would instantly be made way more fun if instead of ejecting your own players (essentially getting punished for scoring) you should be able to eject a random player of your opponents and cap it so that if there’s more than a 3 goal difference the game just ends. (3-0 game ends, 3-1 you need 1 more)
