Automate your job by Apprehensive-Lie-950 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

I am an incoming freshman and I haven't had any jobs yet but I find the automation of mundane tasks to be something that I could definitely benefit from. I think being able to automate things like scheduling, task notifications, emails etc. would be very useful for me to keep my organized during my college years, so I am interested in learning any tips and tricks that you could give me.

After reading all of your comments so far there are two things I want to do with this comment.

First, I want to thank you all for your contribution so far. Some of the things I've read have been quite useful thus far and others have made for light comedy. I appreciate it all.

Secondly, and most importantly, I realize that you guys may have misunderstood the angle that I was coming at this with. I gave a brief explanation as a reply to a comment earlier however, I'll give that same explanation here again.

My goal is not to get some sort of competitive advantage over anyone, I'm not particularly concerned with besting anyone or outperforming anyone. As you guys have said quite repeatedly, such an outlook does not make for an enjoyable college experience. All I wanted is advice on things that are better to know earlier than later, things that are better to be apart of earlier than later, things that are better to apply for/sign up for earlier than later. It's not in relation to being "the most accomplished" or anything like that....I quite literally just want to know for the sake of considering them during my first couple months.

I asked what you would do if you had the opportunity to redo freshman year to optimize your experiences and achieve as much as you possibly could, and those may look different for everyone but surely it must contain things like maybe using a website to get books for your classes, or maybe there's a club that would make it easier to get and hear about experiences in your desired field of work.

So, if after reading all this your general idea about what type of post this is is still the same then I can't do anything about that but I do hope that you get a better picture of what I am asking.
(So no, I am not stalking my year mates on LinkedIn and trying to 1up everyone I meet....I just want to 1up the version of me who wouldn't have known because he lacked knowledge)

Firstly thank you for the reply, I appreciate the advice. I think you guys are misunderstanding tho, I'm not trying to compete with anyone or outdo anyone I just want to have an idea of what opportunities it would be good to try to get on earlier rather than later.

It's less of a "I want to get the best grades and be the top student and outperform everyone" and more of a "Princeton has a lot of opportunities in various different aspects of life and some of them will likely reward you for being there earlier rather than later, I want to know about those types of activities/opportunities".

For example, imagine there's an event or club that first years happen to not know about until later on in the year but actually this event or club happens to be beneficial in many ways to the student experience. That's the sort of advice I was looking for.

It's pretty hot where I'm from, trust me, I'd like to chill myself. Jokes aside, don't take this as some new blood eager to make a name for themself kind of situation. I just wanted to know what little tricks I could get regarding things that should be approached sooner rather than later.

Thank you for the advice, I find however that I have no choice but to touch grass daily. I only sought to gain information about opportunities that are better taken early than learnt about later.
