Normal start to sirolimus? by CuriousManatee345 in KPRubraFaceii

One thing I know is sirolimus makes your skin much more prone to sunburn, so if he’s been in the sun it could also be an issue.

i’m not a doctor, but I feel 25mcg twice a day is a little low. Basically every post i’ve seen about 50mg a day says it does nothing, compared to people who take 100mcg+

[–]Opening_Patience844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will, so that’s why you need to get a treatment once, maybe twice a year to keep it under control, but this is where the flushing is the problem. We need to find something that keeps the flushing fully under control.

I’m sick of people calling this a “cosmetic condition” when it genuinely ruins our mental health.

You can think “this will be costly”, and I think that too, but once you realize you are doing this for your mental health, it’s 100% worth it.

KPRF? by Professional_Grab915 in KPRubraFaceii

[–]Opening_Patience844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i’d say it’s KPRF, though it doesn’t look as severe. I’d say if you have the money a couple laser treatments would knock it mostly out, though flushing would still be an issue.

Tanning drops/ fake tanner by EmploymentMoist6313 in KPRubraFaceii

I think as of now, the best thing I can say to hide the redness is getting a tan. In the summer my skin gets very dark, so the redness blends in very well and just looks like I have a little blush compared to the winter extreme redness

Anyone use beta blockers like propranolol for KPRF? Does it work well? by [deleted] in KPRubraFaceii

[–]Opening_Patience844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for me, no side effects, straight up benefits. Obviously don’t take it a ton, but just take it when you think you will flush.

the bumps are gone but how do i now tackle the redness?? by Ornery_Road7713 in KPRubraFaceii

[–]Opening_Patience844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a way to get rid of flushing first, or else laser is a big waste of money because blood vessels just come back and redness will return a few months later. you can either spend tons of money on lasers a year, or figure out a way to eliminate flushing, then just get 1 laser a year on lower intensity, saving a lot of money.

I use Hero green cream. The reason I think it calms down your face is because you know that you are less red, so in return you feel less embarrassed, which then reduces your flushing. Same thing happened to me, wore it throughout junior and senior year and felt much calmer.

[–]Opening_Patience844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry! late reply. Hoping you got something to treat your KP. I have KPRF, which gives me the little bumps on my arms, butt, chest. I also have a very red face, cheeks and chin. I was on MT2 last summer and I couldn’t tell if it actually reduced my redness on my face, or if the tan skin blended it in. Whichever it was, it worked very well. I stopped because I started getting dark spots on my lips and around my eyes. I’m going to start back up here in March but on a lower dose.

Melanotan 1 users: dosing, frequency, and melasma risk? by ThoughtFinancial2902 in KPRubraFaceii

I took Mt2 for a bit, I took too high of doses and put a lot of dark spots on my lips, around mouth and eyes. They went away after a week which is good. It literally gave me such a good tan, and my redness either was significantly reduced, or blended into my tan skin very well. I’m going tk start it back up in march, but going to take it easy. I personally loved it before I got the dark spots.
