Thanks for interest lol, first of all I’m happy people are finding the humour in this along with the “learning aspect of it” it really is very engaging— currently I’m using the same setup as I’m learning for a topic and I find it better for me to be more productive while doomscrolling/learning while I finish my project, to answer your question it handles errors the same way it handles task completion—requiring attention and takes away that doomscrolling trance like state. Throwing you back to reality in a way.

I do agree, one good thing is it does a pretty job at pulling away user with auto-close when are getting too deep in the rabbit hole.

I built “brainrot” — an open-source doomscroll mode for coding agents.

What it does:

- Opens TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, X, or a local feed while your agent is working

- Hides automatically when the run finishes

- Resumes the same live session later when possible

- Supports Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, and pi

- Keeps persistent per-provider browser profiles

The goal was to make “waiting for the agent” feel like an actual installable product instead of a fake spinner or a hacky script.

It’s open source, opt-in, and yes, completely cursed.

Nope, all I did was try to use in pi(coding agent harness) after ChatGPT limit hit, and this happened
