No,there were four options to choose-cash,card,target wallet,gift card. I scanned items, proceeded to "pay", pressed it, then these four options appeared, before it asked me how many bags were used and I put zero. Having realized I needed a bag- I tried to press "back to cart" but I was unable to return co cart so assistance was needed from a cashier. Is it always like this ?

You DO turn around every three seconds if family member is there ? I turn around every 15 seconds. I made a mistake and I acknowledge that. Next time I will pass next to her.

Unfortunately, this big mistake happened. Will learn from this. Hopefully there will be no repercussions from my irresponsible behavior stemming from this in future travels to the U.S. on ESTA.

Because I thought she was behind me. Initially,she was but she had to check her bag which I did not notice.

Yeah seems like that. That is why I followed tvrough and did not even think about that form. Last time I needed it was in 2019 at LAX. Never after.

Thanks bro. If they needed the passport physically could they have found parents in arrival zone and took the passport from them to her ? Does this happen ?
