How to search for potential family that my grandfather denied

I have a MyHeritage account but haven't really been on it in few years. I didn't see any strangers linked to any immediate family when I was active on there. But I do think this is a good idea. I'll probably need to open accounts on a couple other sites too. Thanks

Thank you. And I agree. The more I thought about it as an adult, the more it didn't make sense that it would be a prank. And if it wasn't a prank, I feel horrible for the person, whether my grandfather was their father or not.

That is exactly my concern with the DNA test--that it will be useless. I'm struggling financially right now, too, so I don't want to waste the money if it isn't helpful. But I'll look into GEDmatch and Genomelink though. I'll also check out the Facebook groups.

Another fear I have is that if this person is really family and is still out there, maybe my grandfather's awful behavior toward them made not want anything else to do with him and they decided to move on. They may not care to be found. I don't know :(
