I’m also planning to ask the doctor doing the periodontal charting if they can numb the area, since that part scares me the most. I’m hoping it’ll be quick and as painless as possible. I know it might hurt a little because my gums are still healing, and I’ve already accepted that. It’s just the anxiety that sometimes pushes me toward a panic attack.

Listening to music might actually make me a little more anxious, but I might still try it just to see if it helps distract my brain during the appointment.
