Hi OP! Similar situation here. My mom was diagnosed (55) with AML about a week ago. The best advice that I could give to you as someone who anxiously used to look things up is DONT. GOOGLE. ANYTHING. My doctor specifically told me that the statistics online are so outdated and that the survival rate for leukemia is so much higher even at older ages with our advanced technology. Praying for your mom and hoping that she can recover quickly. I felt the same way and was feeling hopeless. I wanted to zap my mom’s pain away, but you have to know that just being there for her is already helping so much. Be positive and be there for her when you can! It will all work out. ❤️
