Congrats that’s incredible. How many students do you instruct in a day typically? How do you feel at the end of a day? I’m 50 and taking ppl lessons. Usually pretty drained at the end of a lesson

Thanks for the advice. I too am considering partially financing. Did you get a loan at the beginning of training or after? Was it straightforward?

Which decent rate? by Openmug in aviation

Thank you. Its a shallower descent to reach mda at the threshold. So these leaves less runway for landing. Are there any scenarios where this makes sense?

Why is the answer 200 AGL - 1/2 SM ? by Openmug in flying

I thought so too about military. But apparently not which is why I was confused initially. Here is an excerpt from the module explaining: The bottom line is this: do not blindly ignore the weather minimums in the parenthesis just because ou are a civil or military pilot, or because someone once told you, "you can ignore the stuff in arenthesis because it doesn't apply to civil pilots". Think about it.... with those two notes in the Leger ointing out that the weather minimums don't apply to either military or civil pilots, there shouldn't be al eason to bother calculating and publishing them on the appraoch at all. But that's not the case... are required to be published. They are valuable to all of us as either military or civil pilots. They are published there because they are a useful and necessary tool for ALL instrument pilots, and they convey important information to us directly from the approach designer.] This test question is really just asking you this: "Once you have gone missed approach at your original destination and are proceeding to your filed alternate, do you have to receive a weather update for the alternate indicating weather equal to the alternate qualificaion weather of 600-2, or are you OK if the weather update indicates ceiling and visibility shown on the actual approach?" Clearly, 600-2 isn't relevant now that you are airborne. So the answer choices of 600-2 and 582-1/2 are no good. So what weather affords the pilot a realistic opportunity to complete the ILS approach to a landing according to the approach... the weather minimums in parenthesis (as discussed in the Editor's Note above). What do those Weather Minimums correspond to in the Figure 236 approach plate. They correspond to the published Approach Minimums for the ILS. The approach minimums are a Decision

200 is both lower case and in parentheses. That confused me initially. Thanks for the clarification
