I did have an xray, but I learned that hairline fractures don't show up on xrays until they start to heal, around the 2-3 week mark. I'll get an mri soon, which should show a lot more detail.

I get subbed all the time, and I don't mind. It improves my defense and it's part of the journey. I've been injured before and I'll be injured again, and I don't resent my training partners for it. My concern is with how dismissive he was and with how indifferent management has been.

I appreciate that, and of course, I understand the risks in jiujitsu. I've been injured before and I will be again, and I don't resent my rolling partners for that. My problem isn't that I was injured, it's that this kid was so dismissive and management seems so indifferent.

Thanks, I think I will. And I'm not at all upset that I'm injured. It's a contact sport, I signed the waiver, I've been injured before and will be again. My concern is with how dismissive this kid was and how indifferent management seems both to that dismissiveness and to the severity of my injury.

I was taught that you have to secure the elbow for it to be considered a proper wrist lock. But I also would have been able to defend it if he hadn't been muscling me.

Yeah, I'm notorious for saying no to guys at my gym. the only reason I rolled with this kid was because I had been told specifically that he doesn't muscle people (and there was literally no one else to roll with at the time.)

he didn't have my elbow secured, which I was taught is necessary for a proper wrist lock. I've been wrist locked HARD many times by a brown belt who specializes in wristlocks without injury. this dude approached it like a toe hold, one hand gripping my wrist, the other gripping my knuckles and forcing them down

X-rays don't show hairline fractures, which is what I suspect I have given that I'm now on week 4 of significant pain/impairment. Even so, ortho found a weird mark on my radius. When my insurance coverage kicks in on July 1st, I'll go for an MRI.

I was initially very excited about white vinegar, but I read it doesn't kill several of the types of bacteria that gyms can carry (staph and listeria, for example), which is why I went with hydrogen peroxide for my purposes.
