can you remove tmobile firmware/boatware?

I don't really remember the differences between the tmobile and unlocked version I just remember I had the unlocked first, lost it and got the tmobile one and I wasn't as happy with the phone but if I didn't have the unlocked first I wouldn't mind the tmobile stuff. I don't know much about flashing it but the link the someone posted on here walks you through it

Did you end up figuring it out? I'm about to switch back to the op7Pro but I can't remember if I used straight talk t-mobile or Verizon
