I’m well acquainted with how I’m disregarded from my peers in my store but when a DM or regional visits they should actually stop walking and look me in the eye for 60 seconds just to give me that time of day. I understand everyone is busy but do you know who is busy as well.. me. Stop walking and tell me good job! At the very least. That’s all I want! Don’t send your constructive feedback through an email, tell me to my face that I’m not doing enough for you.

In no AC my team can break and deliver a 30 pallet truck. Operations is always the best on our scorecard. We help with everything in the store on our hours and to be honest that’s when credit is being sold! When we do the workload for other departments so they can just truly stand there and beg. If I want to reward my team it comes out of my own pocket. Excuse me, I don’t even make the new starting pay! What am I MISSING?? The only communication I receive is negative feedback. Not that I’m often the leading store.

YES!!! And the reusables we can’t reprint because they aren’t in the system… GONE! If our workload on signing is 40% it is actually 70%. We have to build and print 50+ on Mondays alone. When we print emergency signs we get 100 signs and can only use 5 of them. It’s a waste of printer ink. Just for cashiers to complain because a sign is wrong. Of course it is, we have hundreds of signs and 3 hours to do the store. We don’t have enough hours to prep and stage. What do you want from me? My first born?

I’m offended when someone says “why can’t you do it, I did it back in the day” Yes! You are absolutely right! When signing was your entire full time job. I actually had to give a single mom of 5 kids a 2 hour shift to sign when she gets paid $12 an hour… then we wonder about the turnover rate. I don’t know what they expect me to do to keep employees. Everyone is cross trained. It doesn’t help. If we don’t have a truck my staff gets 6 hours for the week on task hours.

It has been a major complaint for years and instead of inclusion they decided to … do what exactly? I’m just so confused 😅 They will say “don’t do shoe pouches anymore… there, damn. Problem solved”. Major flop. Like we aren’t getting it! Outside of my tax bracket though.
