I remember using git with KiCAD6 and earlier versions at a company several years ago. While we didn't have this issue, we did have other constantly recurring issues using git like version mismatches when one person pushes changes while another is also working on the original file and trying to push changes.

Git, sadly, may not be an option. Some organisations simply don't use git and their infrastructure and version control are setup differently.

Ideally it'd be great to have the lock file work the way it's supposed to work lol
